Western Washtenaw Area Value Express (WAVE)
475-9494Nonprofit agency provides community bus and van transportation. Service is available to all. Door-to-door service for those in the Dexter School district operates Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. One-way regular fare $4; senior/disabled fare $2; personal care attendants and children under 4 years free. Same day service is available; advanced reservations are recommended. Reservation line is open Mon.-Fri. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Also operates the Community Connector, a Chelsea-Dexter-Ann Arbor bus that picks up passengers at Bates Elementary, Cornerstone Elementary, Mill Creek Middle School, the Dexter Senior Center, Dexter Crossing, and the Dexter Busch's. The WAVE bus meets AATA route 9 buses at the Jackson/Wagner stop at 7:01, 9:01, & 11:01 a.m. and 1:01, 4:01, & 6:01 p.m. weekdays only. Fare: $2 to Chelsea or to Ann Arbor, $1 for seniors/disabled/Fare Deal card holders. U-M students, faculty, and staff $.50 Dexter to Ann Arbor.
