Village president and council. 428–7877. Manchester is governed by a seven-member village council (including the president), serving staggered four-year terms and elected on an at-large, nonpartisan basis. The council meets first & third Mon. 7 p.m. at the village offices. President: Patricia Vailliencourt. President pro tem: Marty Way. Trustees: Jack Conaway, Cynthia Dresch, Patrick DuRussel, Jordan Herron, Kari Newman. Village elections are held annually on the second Tues. in Sept. of odd-numbered years (Sept. 11, 2007). Residents may register to vote at the Manchester village offices, 912 City Rd.; at area township halls; at any Michigan Secretary of State office (the nearest is at 1113 S. Main, Chelsea); or online at michigan.gov/sos. To vote, you must register your current address at least 30 days before an election.
