Mayor and city council. 429–4907. Fax: 429–0528. The mayor and six other city council members serve two-year terms and are elected on an at-large, nonpartisan basis. Annual stipends $3,900 for mayor, $2,400 for mayor pro tem, $2,100 for other council members. City council meets first & third Mon. 7:30 p.m. at City Hall chambers unless announced otherwise. Mayor: Gretchen Driskell. Mayor pro tem: Glenn Law. Council members: Patrick Little, Alicia Ping, David Rhoades, Kathy Roth, Terri Sibo-Koening. City elections are held annually the day after the first Mon. in Nov. (Nov. 7, 2006). City residents may register to vote at Saline City Hall, township residents may register at township halls, and any resident may register at Michigan Secretary of State offices (nearby offices are at 2720 Washtenaw, Fountain Plaza, Ypsilanti Twp.; and 353 N. Maple, Maple Village Shopping Center, Ann Arbor) or on-line at michigan.gov/sos.
