Saline
In 2005 CNN Money magazine voted Saline the 43rd-best place to live in the United States, and in 2007 Saline was voted the 59th–best place to live in the United States. Saline’s core still has a small-town feel, even though much of the surrounding countryside is giving way to development. In the last few years, many condominiums and subdivisions have been built, offering homes from $90,000 to more than $1 million. Vigorous growth continues in Pittsfield Township between Saline, Ann Arbor, and Ypsilanti. Subdivisions stretch east from Ann Arbor–Saline Rd. to US-23. Saline’s west side and Lodi Township west of Ann Arbor–Saline Rd. are experiencing more recent growth, and development proposals have been making news south of the city.
Real estate sales prices were provided by Rick Mangan of the Charles Reinhart Company Realtors. All represent approximate ranges in Aug. 2007.
